Hartley Horn Drawings Book

I'm back from almost two weeks away. First, went to see my oldest son, Justin, in New York City. He has a residency job with a firm there as part of his studies with the School of Architecture at the University of Texas. It's a great opportunity for him, and he's doing well.

On the way back to Texas, we attended the CLA Show in Lexington, Kentucky. It was another great show, with more to see than time to see it. And more folks to visit with than time to visit.

A new book produced by the Honourable Company of Horners was introduced at the show and was a big hit. Titled The Hartley Horn Drawings: A Collection of Powder Horn Drawings by Robert M. Hartley, this 80-page book reproduces all 40 drawings held by the Margaret Reaney Memorial Library in St. Johnsville, New York. These drawings date to between 1933 and 1938 and are a great resource for the horn maker or collector. I helped the HCH on the publication and printing end of the project, and the book turned out beautifully.

These books are available at store.scurlockpublishing.com
